Every US cup amount converts to fluid ounces by multiplying by 8: 1/4 cup is 2 fl oz, 3/4 cup is 6 fl oz and 4 cups is 32 fl oz. Only the thirds come out uneven, at 2.67 fl oz for 1/3 cup and 5.33 fl oz for 2/3 cup, so measure those with a 1/3 cup instead of reading ounce lines.
This chart is for liquids and anything else measured by volume. The weight of a cup of flour, sugar or butter in ounces changes with each ingredient, so use grams in a cup or ounces in a cup of flour for that.

Reading ounces on a liquid measuring cup
Many 2-cup and 4-cup liquid measuring cups print fluid ounces on one side, with cups and mL on the others. Set the cup on the counter, pour, and bend down so the line is at eye level. Looking down from above makes the line hard to read accurately.
From cups to quarts and gallons
Past 4 cups it helps to switch to larger units: 4 cups make a quart (32 fl oz) and 16 cups make a gallon (128 fl oz). See cups in a quart and ounces in a gallon.
